Sherin and Lodgen attorneys Gavriela M. Bogin-Farber<\/a> and David I. Brody<\/a> have been re-elected to serve as President and Vice President, respectively, of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA) for the 2021-2022 term.<\/p>\n

Gavi is a senior associate in the firm\u2019s Employment Department<\/a>. She represents individuals in all aspects of employment negotiations and litigation, including discrimination, wage and hour disputes, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Bogin-Farber has litigated cases before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and in state and federal court. She also advises professionals and executives regarding separation agreements, employment agreements, and ongoing workplace issues. From 2016-2018, Gavi served as an Executive Committee member and Co-Chair of MELA\u2019s Program Committee.<\/p>\n

David is a partner in the firm\u2019s Employment and Litigation<\/a> departments. He represents clients in a wide range of matters, including wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and contract negotiation and enforcement. David has represented clients in both federal and state courts in Massachusetts and in Public Hearings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Civil Service Commission. For the 2019-2020 term of MELA, he served as Treasurer of the organization.<\/p>\n

MELA is the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the country\u2019s largest professional organization exclusively comprised of lawyers who represent individual employees in cases involving employment discrimination and other employment-related matters. MELA works to increase awareness, improve advocacy, monitor legislation and support the practices of its member attorneys who devote a majority of their practice to representing employees in these matters.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
