
Peter D. McCarthy, partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, has over a decade of litigation and client counseling experience.
He has represented corporate, government, and individual clients across jurisdictions and ADR forums to resolve civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, civil and criminal government investigations, regulatory compliance obligations, and strategic negotiations.
Peter has extensive experience in a wide variety of private- and public- construction law. He has represented corporate and individual owners, government and quasi-government agencies, general contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors confronting challenges across the project lifecycle, from bidding and contract negotiation to multi-party claim litigation. He provides practical and client-focused guidance to secure favorable resolutions.
Prior to joining the Sherin and Lodgen, Peter served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, defending the Commonwealth, its agencies, divisions, officials, and employees in federal and state civil litigation. He previously worked in the Litigation Department in the Boston office of Mintz.
