By Sherin and Lodgen on March 31, 2021

Sherin and Lodgen represented longtime client, The GIANT Company, in lease negotiations for their newest supermarket in Philadelphia, PA. The 65,000 sq. ft. urban flagship store, part of the 25-floor Riverwalk Project in Center City, is the company’s first two-story location and first in a residential tower. The store features ground-level parking, a full-sized Starbucks, a food hall, and beer and wine garden. The GIANT Company, owned by Ahold Delhaize, has focused recent expansion efforts in the Philadelphia market, with five locations now open in the city.

The project was featured extensively in local media, including Progressive Grocer’s article, “GIANT Co. Debuts Stunning Urban Flagship in Philadelphia.”

The Sherin and Lodgen leasing team was led by John (Jack) J. Slater, partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department. Jack was assisted by S&L’s title and environmental teams.
