Edward S. Cheng presents at AICUM Symposium on Title IX

Edward S. Cheng, partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, presented at the Association of Colleges and Universities Massachusetts (AICUM) Fall Symposium on October 7th. Ed’s presentation, “Title IX In the Age of Budget Cuts and Dissolving Social Boundaries,” discussed the renewed focus on Title IX after two recent actions under the statute. Title IX was enacted in 1972 to prohibit gender discrimination on college campuses that received federal funding.
Established in 1967 by college and university presidents, AICUM consists of 60 degree-granting, accredited independent, or private, colleges and universities in the Commonwealth.
