Matthew C. Moschella named to The Legal 500’s Boston City Elite Rankings

Matthew C. Moschella, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, was named to The Legal 500’s inaugural Boston City Elite rankings in the area of Commercial Litigation. The Legal 500 U.S. City Elite rankings aim to highlight key lawyers who are handling work at the top of the legal market in their respective cities.

As chair of Sherin’s Litigation Department and a partner in the Litigation and Employment Departments, Matt represents companies and individuals in a wide variety of civil matters in state and federal courts across the country, as well as in arbitration proceedings. His employment litigation practice includes representing employers concerning complaints filed against them with state and federal administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (and its state equivalents), the Department of Labor (and its state equivalents), and other agencies.

In addition to representing clients in various types of civil litigation, Matt counsels clients in a wide variety of industries on employment risk management issues, including employment contracts; employee handbooks; non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements; severance agreements; and hiring and termination issues. He also represents lawyers and law firms in various types of professional responsibility and legal malpractice matters.

Matt is a longtime member and supporter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), and served as its National President in 2022. He is also a past president of the Massachusetts Chapter, and national general counsel, board member, and Younger Lawyers Division chair.
