Edward S. Cheng and Mariem Marquetti present the MCLE program, “ABA Ethics Opinion 512 & You”
Partner Edward S. Cheng and Associate Mariem Marquetti presented the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program, “ABA Ethics Opinion 512 & You,” on January 23. Ed and Mariem discussed the ABA Ethics Opinion 512 on the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools, lending insights on the basic concepts of GAI, common pitfalls, and other ethical concerns arising from using these tools such as billing for GAI use and disclosure.
Ed is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department with nearly three decades of litigation experience. He specializes in complex commercial disputes, professional malpractice cases, insurance coverage disputes, and real estate litigation. Ed represents attorneys and their law firms, corporations, architects, engineers, title insurance companies, and professional liability insurance companies. He has also litigated employment, construction disputes, trade secret, and non-competition agreement disputes.
Mariem is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, representing clients in complex employment matters, commercial disputes, real estate litigation, and professional liability matters before state and federal courts, as well as before state agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
The program will be rebroadcast on Monday, February 9 at 12:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 17 at 3:00 p.m.
