Matthew A. Morris to present at the BBA’s Annual Massachusetts Tax Update

Matthew A. Morris, a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department, will present at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Annual Massachusetts Tax Update on June 1. Matt and fellow speakers will discuss the Millionaire’s surtax, new guidance on rolling stock de minimis exceptions, other statutory, regulatory, and administrative updates, as well as a litigation update on significant cases decided over the last year and cases to watch.

Matt represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of federal, state, and international tax planning and tax controversy matters. He provides tax expertise across all segments of the practice, with a concentration on tax issues affecting business entities and their stakeholders, including owners and key employees. Matt has experience in structuring tax-efficient business acquisitions and dispositions and providing comprehensive tax guidance regarding the organizational and operational issues of business entities including partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, non-profit entities, and domestic and foreign taxable corporations. He also provides tax advice in connection with real estate investment and development; employee, shareholder, and partner dispute resolution; shareholder and employee agreements; and employee compensation structuring.
