Partner Edward S. Cheng named a 2026 Northeastern University School of Law “Teacher of the Year”

Partner Edward S. Cheng received a 2026 “Teacher of the Year” award from Northeastern University School of Law. Recognized for his work as a part-time faculty member, Ed was honored for his educational excellence, commitment to student success and social justice, and dedication to experiential learning. He was also cited for fostering critical thinking, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and bringing innovation to pedagogy and curriculum. At Northeastern, Ed teaches Legal Reasoning and Writing.

Ed is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department with nearly three decades of litigation experience. He specializes in complex commercial disputes, professional malpractice cases, insurance coverage disputes, and real estate litigation. Ed represents attorneys and their law firms, corporations, architects, engineers, title insurance companies, and professional liability insurance companies. Ed also represents attorneys in bar discipline matters before the Board of Bar Overseers.
