Sherin and Lodgen adds Samantha Weeks to Employment Department as an associate

Samantha L. Weeks has joined the firm’s Employment Department as an associate. Sammi’s practice focuses on all areas of employment law and related litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, mediation, and settlement negotiations.

Prior to joining the firm, Sammi was an associate at an employment law firm in Keene, New Hampshire, where she oversaw nearly all aspects of litigation cases, from client intake, drafting documents, managing mediation, negotiating with opposing counsel, performing legal research, to serving as the primary client liaison throughout representation. She also served as a Project Coordinator at the Northeastern University School of Law’s Center for Health Policy and Law, where she managed administrative duties, communications, financial, logistical, and programmatic elements of the Salus Populi project, which educates judges and lawyers about the social determinants of health, population health, health equity, and the law.

Sammi is admitted to practice in Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Sammi earned her J.D. from Suffolk University, and a B.A. in both International Studies & Politics and Government from Ohio Wesleyan University. During law school, she worked as a research assistant where she prepared teaching materials for multiple law courses at Suffolk University. She also interned with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and the Victim Rights Law Center in Boston. In addition to being trained as a Rape Crisis Counselor and in trauma informed care, Sammi gained experience during her internship observing court proceedings and drafting motions, oppositions, and legal memos.
