Sherin and Lodgen associate Mariem Marquetti presents at MBA’s Complex Commercial Litigation Conference

Mariem Marquetti presented at the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) 9th Annual Complex Commercial Litigation Conference on April 24. Mariem participated on the panel discussing “Business Torts.” She and fellow panelists presented on issues related to complex commercial litigation, specifically on things to know and updates in various phases of business tort litigation. Mariem primarily discussed the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the business tort context and in the practice of law.

Conference attendees had the opportunity to learn from and network with the Commonwealth’s leading commercial litigation practitioners and esteemed members of the Massachusetts judiciary. This year’s keynote speaker was the Hon. Michael D. Ricciuti, chief justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Other highlights included a panel of Massachusetts Superior Court jurists, a panel on business torts, and a networking reception following the program.

Mariem’s legal practice includes civil litigation in complex employment matters, commercial disputes, real estate, and professional liability matters. She has litigated matters before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, state and federal courts, and has done work in arbitration disputes. Mariem served as a law clerk in the International Narcotics and Money Laundering section of the Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law.
