During law school, he interned with a District Judge at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the civil division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, two Boston civil litigation firms, and the Massachusetts Department of Social Services’ legal department.

Matt is named to Benchmark Litigation and Massachusetts Super Lawyers. He is national President-Elect of the Federal Bar Association, having previously served as Treasurer and General Counsel.

Managing Partner Sara Shanahan said, “Matt is a talented lawyer and is highly respected among firm colleagues and industry peers. Under his direction, our litigation department will be well-positioned for continued growth and success.”

Commenting on his new role, Matt said, “I feel privileged to lead such an incredible group of litigators, and I am proud to step into this exciting role. I look forward to being part of the firm’s leadership team under the direction of our first ever female managing partner.”

Sherin’s Litigation Department is recognized by U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Law Firms/Best Lawyers” in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance litigation, ethics and professional liability law, legal malpractice (defendants) law, and labor and employment litigation.
