Sherin and Lodgen Receives “Empowering Women” Award from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Sherin and Lodgen LLP announces that the firm was selected for the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Empowering Women Award for the second consecutive year. This award recognizes law firms that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women attorneys. The firm is featured in the publication’s July 29 issue.
Sherin and Lodgen was recognized for its ongoing work to support and advance women attorneys and professionals, both within and outside the firm, through its Women’s Initiative. The program provides a wide range of programming and mentorship opportunities, as well as deals with recruiting, retention and elevation of women through professional and business development. On a quarterly basis, it brings together attorneys and professionals to network and connect through trainings, roundtable discussions, and civic advocacy activities.
“At Sherin and Lodgen, empowering women attorneys is central to who we are,” said Managing Partner Sara Jane Shanahan. “Through the Women’s Initiative and other inclusionary efforts, we champion a culture of mentorship and advocacy that drives opportunity for all members of our community, both within the firm and across the Commonwealth.”
Founded in 1972, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly reports decisions issued by all the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, as well as changes to court rules, verdict and settlement reports, bar-discipline notices and all other news vital to attorneys in the commonwealth.
