Sherin and Lodgen recognized in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s “Top 20 Managing Partners” feature

Sherin and Lodgen LLP and Firm Managing Partner Sara Jane Shanahan were included in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2025 “Top 20 Managing Partners in Massachusetts” feature. Sara was recognized for her leadership role in guiding Sherin and Lodgen since November 2021. This recognition underscores Sherin and Lodgen’s ongoing mission to provide exceptional legal services while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and service-driven culture.

“This recognition reflects the collective efforts of the entire firm,” said Sara. “The growth and success of Sherin and Lodgen are the direct result of collaboration and teamwork — an environment I have the privilege to foster as Managing Partner. I’m grateful to lead a dedicated team of attorneys and staff who strive for legal excellence and have an unwavering passion for community service.”

The firm’s achievements and Sara’s role as Managing Partner are highlighted in the May 26 issue.

Sara’s practice focuses on complex business litigation and insurance coverage disputes. She represents a diverse range of clients, including investment managers, property owners, national retailers, insurers, insureds, and shareholders of closely-held corporations. Outside the office, Sara is an active contributor to the legal and charitable communities. She has held various leadership positions with the Boston Bar Association and served on the Women’s Bar Association’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Sara is also a regular speaker and contributor to programs for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. (MCLE), and teaches in the Trial Advocacy Workshop during winter term at Harvard Law School. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Ursuline Academy in Dedham, MA.
