Sherin and Lodgen supports Victim Rights Law Center this holiday season

December 10, 2018

From November 8 to December 10, Sherin and Lodgen held a gift drive to fill the holiday “wish lists” of five families supported by the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC). Sherin attorneys and staff worked to collect gifts such as home goods, clothing, and toys and wrapped and delivered the gifts to the VRLC on December 13.

The VRLC was established in 2003 as the first nonprofit law center dedicated to serving the legal needs of rape and sexual assault victims and their families. It provides free, trauma-informed civil legal services to survivors throughout Massachusetts, working to ensure that survivors may stay in school; protect their privileged and confidential mental health, medical and education records; preserve their employment; maintain safe housing; secure their immigration status; and swiftly access victim compensation and other benefits.

Sherin and Lodgen is pleased to participate in a number of community involvement events every year. Its last volunteer initiative involved collaborating with The Food Project, a non-profit organization that works with diverse adults and youth to create personal and social change through sustainable agriculture.
