Sherin and Lodgen volunteers with Triangle, Inc. to prepare young adults with disabilities for the workplace

June 26, 2019

Sherin and Lodgen volunteered with Triangle, Inc. on June 7, 2019 to host 13 students and young adults for a mock interview and resume review workshop. Triangle, Inc. is a non-profit organization that empowers transition-age youth and adults with disabilities to meet their personal and professional goals and ultimately achieve independence. As part of Triangle, Inc.’s School to Career program, Sherin and Lodgen’s workshop focused on helping participants to hone their preparation, awareness and exploration skills to enable success in the workplace as well as everyday life.

Triangle, Inc. offers a range of services and programs that provide greater opportunities for employment, empowerment, independence, and community inclusion for people with disabilities. By working with community partners that can provide opportunities for young adults to interview, practice employment and soft skills, network and experience different professional settings, Triangle, Inc. can provide support and challenge these individuals as they work to take on employment.

Sherin and Lodgen is pleased to participate in a number of community initiatives every year. Its most recent volunteer events included a holiday gift drive for the Victim Rights Law Center, and a gardening initiative that supported sustainable agriculture nonprofit, The Food Project.
