Tanya M. Larrabee, associate in the firm’s Renewable Energy Practice Group, was published in Utility Dive on February 25, 2020. Her article, “FERC takes steps to modernize PURPA, but will it do more harm than good?” explores the steps the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is taking to update the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA) of 1978, perhaps the most significant of which is the proposed elimination of the fixed energy rates PURPA currently affords to Qualified Facilities (QFs).
