Zachary D. Drench and Susan M. Roberts present on MCLE program, “Top 10 Commercial Lease Negotiation Disputes & How to Resolve Them”
Partner Zachary D. Drench and Of Counsel Susan M. Roberts presented on the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program, “Top 10 Commercial Lease Negotiation Disputes & How to Resolve Them,” on November 24. Zack served as Program Chair, and Susie was a panelist. They discussed the top ten most common commercial lease disputes that landlords and tenants encounter during the lease negotiation process, and how to navigate through them. The discussion also covered how these issues affect leases differently for industrial, office, and retail properties.
Zack is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, representing commercial real estate development and operating companies on acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, and development matters. He has experience negotiating retail, restaurant, office, and industrial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants. Additionally, his practice involves advising clients on land use and environmental compliance and liability issues.
Susie, Of Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Department and a member of the firm’s Hospitality Practice Group, is an experienced real estate and hospitality attorney counseling restaurant and real estate clients for nearly 25 years. She has developed expertise in real estate law, including commercial leasing, acquisitions, permitting, zoning, title issues, environmental issues, and financing work for both borrower and lender clients.
