Sherin and Lodgen congratulates Transom Real Estate on purchase of South End office building

By Sherin and Lodgen on October 15, 2019

Sherin and Lodgen congratulates our client, Transom Real Estate, a Boston-based real estate development firm, on the purchase of 46 Plympton Street. The multi-tenant five-story office building is located in the heart of the South End, steps from the to-be-developed Exchange South End, a 1.6 million sq. ft. life science redevelopment.

The Sherin and Lodgen team was led by Robert M. Carney, chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, and Daniel C. Johnston, associate, along with Corporate Partner, Steven D. Eimert who handled all of the joint venture aspects of the acquisition on behalf of the client.

Transom Real Estate’s principals bring together a specialized set of skills, ranging from permitting and land use to financial structuring to design and construction. At a time when real estate is increasingly viewed as a commodity, the Transom team believes true value in real estate can only be predictably achieved through strong relationships, great ideas, smart design and precise execution. This philosophy and combination of skills allow Transom to find opportunities missed by others and to succeed with an envious consistency.
