Richard J. Kaitz

Richard J. Kaitz is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Department with over twenty five years of commercial real estate legal experience. Rick has assisted retailers and developers with all aspects of the development of shopping centers and other commercial properties, including acquisition, financing, leasing and disposition, in projects throughout the United States. He also represents owners and managers of existing shopping centers and other commercial properties in lease administration and enforcement, tenant relocation, and expansion and renovation.

Most recently, Rick was a principal of Kaitz + Associates, LLP and its predecessors. Prior to that, he was a member of the Real Estate Department at Mintz Levin in Boston. From 1986 to 1989, he served as president of Kaitz Properties, Inc., an owner/developer of retail, office and residential properties in Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire.

Rick has run the Boston Marathon several times and recently completed the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. He has raised funds in numerous benefit races on behalf of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, including the BAA Half Marathon. He has ridden for over 15 years in the Pan Mass Challenge, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Dana Farber.
