Carla M. Moynihan named a finalist for New England Legal Awards’ 2025 Real Estate Attorney of the Year

Carla M. Moynihan, Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, was named a finalist for New England Legal Awards’ (NELA) 2025 Real Estate Attorney of the Year. Carla was recognized for her deep expertise, proven skill, and unwavering dedication to shaping the evolving landscape of commercial real estate law. Carla has over 30 years of transactional experience advising clients in all aspects of their acquisition, disposition, leasing, permitting, construction, and financing projects. Her clients include owners, institutions, developers, retailers, individual investors, hotels, state agencies, municipalities, and lenders. She represents these clients in single asset and portfolio transactions for hotel, retail, office, multi-family, or industrial uses, advising on purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint ventures, investments, financings (CRE and CMBS), development agreements, and architectural and construction contracts. In addition to her transactional practice, she guides clients throughout the permitting and public land approval process at federal, state, and local levels, including the Massachusetts Environmental Protection Act, the Massachusetts Historical Commission, the City of Boston Board of Appeal, the Boston Planning and Redevelopment Agency, and neighborhood architectural/landmark commissions. In April 2025, Carla was named an ALM/GlobeSt.com 2025 Woman of Influence in the CRE Legal Counsel category and has been ranked in Chambers USA for Real Estate – Massachusetts since 2012.
