Caroline Woodward is Of Counsel to the firm’s Real Estate Department.
She represents owners, developers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and financing (both debt and equity) of retail centers. Her practice has particular emphasis on the development and leasing of shopping centers and mixed use developments, as well as the acquisition of land and assemblages for new centers, including the creation of ownership structures, joint ventures, easements and restriction agreements for their operation.
Prior to rejoining Sherin and Lodgen, Caroline served as Vice President of Real Estate Law for Ahold U.S.A., Inc., an Ahold Delhaize Company. In that role, she was responsible for legal oversight of all real estate and construction related matters for each of Ahold Delhaize’s six U.S. retail supermarket and home delivery brands. This included approximately 2,000 operating supermarket locations and over 30 million square feet of investment real estate, office space and distribution and fulfillment facilities. Caroline also served as Brand Counsel to the Giant Food Stores supermarket brand. Before joining Ahold, Caroline practiced at Sherin and Lodgen for nearly 20 years.
