Sherin and Lodgen elevates David A. Michel to partner in the firm’s award-winning Litigation Department

David A. Michel has been elevated to partner, effective January 1, 2021. David is a member of the firm’s award-winning Litigation Department, assisting clients in resolving complex business, real estate, construction, and employment disputes.

Sherin and Lodgen’s Managing Partner Douglas M. Henry said, “David has earned the respect of his clients and peers with his invaluable legal insight and litigation expertise. He has proven to be an asset to both the Litigation Department and the firm, and we look forward to his continued excellence as partner.”

David’s experience includes representing companies in a variety of complex civil and commercial disputes in federal and state court and through alternative dispute resolution. In particular, he represents companies, developers, and landlords involved in real estate and construction disputes, including adverse possession, construction and design contracts, and zoning. He also represents and advises companies, non-profits, and individuals in employment matters, such as restrictive covenant and wage and hour litigation. David is an active member of the legal community, and is currently serving as the 1st Circuit Representative of the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division Board of Directors for the 2020-2022 term. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star since 2018.

David received his B.A. from The George Washington University and J.D. from Boston University School of Law. During law school, he served as submissions editor for the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal and achieved honors in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Concentration.
