Sherin and Lodgen participates in Talk to Hill for Legal Aid

January 29, 2021

Sherin and Lodgen attorneys joined hundreds of fellow attorneys, law students, and advocates on January 27, 2021, to urge lawmakers to protect state funding for organizations that provide civil legal aid to low-income Massachusetts residents during the Equal Justice Coalition’s “Talk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid” virtual event. Conducted over Zoom to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event was a modified version of the Coalition’s annual “Walk to the Hill.”

Douglas M. Henry, Sherin and Lodgen’s managing partner, and Beth A. Goldstein, chair of the firm’s Renewable Energy Practice Group, were co-captains for the firm’s team.

The Equal Justice Coalition advocates for expanded access to civil legal aid for low-income Massachusetts residents. The Coalition includes bar associations, law firms, law schools, legal aid organizations, and social service agencies who work together to protect and increase the state appropriation for civil legal aid (budget line item 0321-1600, Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation).
